OK, here's the last snap in my Urban Fishing Series...
A graffiti tag makes a unique backdrop for this Old Man in the Canal. According to Berkley Police, tagging or Tagging Graffiti "is used for gaining 'Fame' with others who are into tagging."
I'm wondering if this tag denotes the biggest fish pulled out of the canal? Perhaps it's a tribal marking in lieu of a trophy? Could it perhaps be some form of communication to other urban fishers...some sort of territorial marking?? Then again, it could just be graffiti ;)
I guess if there was a city in the world that had a chance to be graffiti free, I would have guessed either Vienna or a city in Switzerland somewhere. Switzerland's big cities have plenty of graffiti...and as you can see, the virus has hit Vienna. The incubation period was perhaps a bit longer, but the virus survives quite well using Vienna as its host. However the replication/proliferation of the virus seems a bit slower after outbreak compared to other metropolitan cities around the globe.
Vienna has a very low graffiti tag rate per capita - that's a good thing.

Perhaps it was you, T, to make the graffiti and after that picture it, hmmm? nag, nag ;)
Great urban fishing shot, keep up the good work.

Nice shot. I do like your people shots, Tom. I like your architectural photos, for sure, but your people photos have a wonderful, spontaneous feel.
What kind of fish is he catching?

Nice shot, but based on the look of the wall and the tag, I'm not sure I would want to eat any fish out of that water body.
Personally, I kind of like grafitti. Here in the Dirty South, people have taken it past simple writing and to the level of legitimate outsider art. It's also a nice contrast to the boring corporate architecture and lame public art that we get in the states.

You've got a real fisherman theme going. This guy looks pretty interesting.
