Viennese Clown Viennese Clown

Here is a real life Viennese clown. Bet you didn't know there was such a thing, huh?

Have you ever heard a clown speak German? Me either...it doesn't quite have the same effect (think Arnold's "I'll Be Back" meets Willie Whistle)...but it gets the job done.

This was taken in the heart of Vienna's 1st District where the city center is almost always full of people and street performers alike. Clowns are supposed to make you smile and this one does just that. I mean look at the colors, the clothes and make-up...see, you're smiling ;)

When I saw this I thought this was the McDonald's clown and there was a birthday party going on...

Beautiful contrast by the strong colors yellow and red. I would also have brought the hands of the clown in the picture.

clowns are spooky no matter what language they speak!

Clowns, so we all are, either sad or glad but mostly not wanting to talk obout it. really.

I like how you've cropped this one. I agree with Holger, I would either have included hands or perhaps left more of the arm out (thus adding more mystery).
