Catching Flies Catching Flies

I've tried to shoot at Naschmarkt a handful of times. I've never had much success but it keeps drawing me back. It is such a unique place (someone posted to check out a Indian spice market, or even a Eqyptian bazaar if you like this kind of stuff. Vinsant, you out there?). OK, perhaps its not *that* unique...but my local 7-Eleven, achem, Anker Brot, does not offer this up.

I digress...I wanted to capture the essence of Naschmarkt and bring it to Zoom readers. I don't think I've quite accomplished that this week. The lighting was a big challenge and using a tripod is not really an option. Overall, I had very few quality shots to choose from. Here you at least get multiple fish eye views from the globe-shaped bottles...and a peek at some people in the background.

I do like what this shot captures. A virtual rainbow of vinegars. Chose from flavored vinegars with everything from black currant, to raspberry, to melon to asparagus flavors. They are all offered up in self-service jugs by the bottle. You take an empty glass bottle from the rack, fill it up with your wish, and be on your way. Now finding the right mix of foods to go with the flavor is a completely different story...

I bet you'd catch more flies at Naschmarkt with all this vinegar rather than honey. ;)

Happy Friday!

Whoa - that is very unique indeed. Never in my life seen anything like this, and of all things - VINEGAR. Do you put vinegar on everything or what?
