He Stole My HatHere's a macro of a small carving atop a column outside the Hofburg. You can see the green dome of the Hofurg in the background. The similarities of the hat and the Hofburg dome make th frame for me. The sky is a bit washed - but it's not too often I can complain about that ;)

Have the feeling, that it is the Stephanskrone (Hungary). By the way, the figure on top of the Burgtheater is NOT the Kaiser, it is Greek God of the MUSE..........
Since you are not only a Superb Photographer, you are also an Educator with your comments about the photos. Tourists will come to Vienna and point to the top of the Burgtheater and say: 'Look that is Kaiser Franz Josef when Young, and in the Burggarten when he is Old......:-))

I like the texture. I thought it was a sand sculpture at first, if not for the grey scuff line from the crown to the eyebrow. Doesn't look like a Macro shot, but if you say so.

Lovely texture. The black toungue is the first thing that hit me about this image; it is pretty startling. I agree with your assessment about the similarity of the dome and the helmet making the image. What is the material?
