Stadtpark Artist Stadtpark Artist

Here an artists sit in the late afternoon in the Vienna Stadtpark honing his craft.

I like the detail in the shot as well as the background, but I am not happy with the lighting. Granted it was late afternoon...but still. I am having a hard time with the Pro1 figuring out any possible way to avoid overexposure in the background while propoerly lighting the foreground. I am sure with middle-run digital cameras this is even more of a problem that with hiend digital/film cameras.

The background and detail of the artist work is nice - agree a bit dark, but still captures the mood.

Very nice shot. Would benefit greatly from the Shadow/Highlight feature in Photoshop CS or greater. It can fix the lighting issues without changing the mood or color balance of the photo.

I've just tried it on this photo. Looks great.

It looks like he is a talented artist. I enjoy seeing him at work and his finished works at the same time.
