I caught this restaurant worker grabbing a smoke in the doorway of an Italian restaurant. I don't often ask for permission - I have documented my thoughts on permission here - but I am quite happy with how this one turned out. Not because it is great, but because it is a rare attempt at a profile shot. I'm not thrilled about the framing or the composition...but somehow I like the sum of its parts.

Turns out he was not Austrian or Italian...but that's not the point here. I look forward to sharing some Christmas in Vienna shots in the upcoming weeks...

Great shot! I recognize immediately that it was italian restaurant, from the words in the menu ;)
(but, schampi is wrong: "scampi" is right)
