Plachutta’s Grünspan is home to perhaps the most beautiful beer garden in the city. Drink home-brewed beer at the bar or in the comfort of the cozy restaurant complete with an open fireplace. Enjoy old-fashioned Viennese pub food with it, from juicy roast and spicy goulash to hearty ribs. Don't miss the specialty of the owners - same ownership as the famous Plachutta resuaurant - the Viennese favorite tafelspitz.

About Tafelspitz: No Austrian dish is more typical than the fabled tafelspitz (boiled beef) favored by Emperor Franz Joseph. Boiled beef sounds dull, but tafelspitz is far from bland. A tender delicacy, the "table end" cut absorbs a variety of flavors, including juniper berries, celery root, and onions. Apple-and-horseradish sauce further enlivens the dish, which is usually served with fried grated potatoes. Source: Frommers
Beer and pretzels... sounds like a plan for tonight while I sit and watch the Olympics!
