Another look at the ornate office and residential buildings found at 38 and 40 Linke Wienzeile...
It's not atypical to see supermarkets, retail stores or bakeries inside buildings like this in Vienna....which makes for a different kind of shopping experience ;))

Hi; Yes good old Linke Wienzeile, i often walked by there, my Grandparents lived at 5, Wehrgasse in an old Biedermeier House. Those two Apartment Houses (and that what they really are) are a little over decorated, but great workmanship. Have you ever seen the villa of Otter Wagner, pretty awsome........Sessesionist Style?, heard it it always as "die Reihe der Jungendstilhaeuser"...............

Now that I can see what that thing on the top is. I can say I would prefer yesterday's angle, zooming like this. It was a bit hard to make out.
